My original character Muerte. I don't draw my OCs very often. But here he is. I never paint his skin dark enough. Now that I have a reference maybe I will.

That is as straight as I could get my handwriting. HA :D

Okay so a while back my tablet kinda busted. The usb port part was fucked up.

BUT I FIXED IT.

yeah, its really bad. I really REALLY don't like this cg. Like, loathe it. But it was too far along for me not to upload it so...Eh, enjoy. Its my character Ashley. 

I obviously have been playing with the photoshop gradient tool. hur hur.

Nothing quite like an update!

Well, today was interesting. I found out my mom's insurance is a lot better than she let on. My copay for a $700 med was $40 o_o. On top of that, I finally got something for my extremely sensitive stomach, for my fatigue, and for other issues. So it was an interesting day.

My mind is totally out of it from my constant fatigue. My insomnia seems to be getting worse and nothing helps. And people don't understand I have no problem falling asleep. Its that I can't stay asleep :\. Oh well.

Uh, I think tomorrow I may make ceviche again. It's a great sumer day snack!

Also my doctor was happy that I've lost a ton of weight and kept it off. :\ Some people can gain weight and not deal with bad side effects. I gained weight and everything went to hell and back.  Oh well, enough of that, right? ART TIME.

Shitty ass drawing. Was mostly a pose study. No reference. I'm trying to make my art interesting my not making it just really awkward portraits. Yeah.

Oops forgot to update

I forgot to update, guys, sorry! In my defense I was playing Dragon Age: Origins and...you all know how much I love that game. I know news about Dragon Age 2 has come out and...I'm less than happy about it. They're removing everything that made Dragon Age: Origins charming to make it more streamlined- like Mass Effect. The Mass Effect games are fine and all but, come on, DA:O was supposed to be a love letter to PC gamers who play RPGs. Sigh. I could go one for a long time about all the stuff that upsets me about it but I'll leave it at that.

So, art! I'm working on several RPs with friends, and I'm pretty excited. Reggie, get on AIM so we can discuss ours.

An update on the work in progress

Just a quick update on my WIP. I have more art to show, but its not ready! So, soon there'll be an update flood.

You know, for how fun Jafax was I completely avoided talking about it here, huh?

Well, not much to say. I met up with Eike. Had fun. It was hot and humid. Um, first day there was a lot of drama right before my sister, brother and I were gonna go off to the con. Like, the drama was big enough it almost ruined my plans and definitely ruined my mood for a while. It was intense. Anyway, I get to jafax, and we go around artist alley (met up with  Balled Kalilee ) and then down to the vendors. Then came back up, met Eike, went back down to the vendors. Bought the only copy of Black Lagoon in the entire con (my sister and I split the cost). So worth it, I love this show. I should draw fanart.

Anyway, my sister had to go to pick up Pucho from the groomers so she left with Kevin and told me to find my own ride home. Thankfully M-dawg hooked me up.

Uh, I bought a Kirby plushie. I spent some time drawing with Eike. Uh, but then it got late and so I went home. Though my ride couldn't drop me off at home, so she dropped me off at the bus central station and my sister picked me up.

I then spend the night cleaning and killed the steam vacuum. I fell into a heavy fatigue coma. Man, I was tired.

Next day I get up, get a text from a friend that she's already at the con. Got ready. Drove off to the con. Met up with Eike again. Had fun again. Her mom treated my brother and I to lunch <3! It was awesome. We didn't spend as much time at the con this day, the vendors were lame and I was getting tired.

Eike came over to my house and my mom took us to a birthday party. It was fun. We had cake and good nomnoms. We got back home and Eike and my brother played a ton of games while I drew her a picture. :D having her and her mom over was so fun!

So yes, that's a basic rundown.

I really wish I had something to post. I do but that would involve scanning and its really inconvenient.

So lemme find a WIP I can post instead. Lesse...

I don't know if I've posted this before, the face is still pretty bad. Working on it, I suppose. Oh man, the stomach is just terrible.

I never draw my own characters

You know I was going to post this entry with no real commentary but I think there's a major issue here that I've been avoiding like a Tea Partier. I only ever draw my friend's characters and stuff, but so rarely do I attempt to draw my own. Am I embarrassed by my own designs? Do I have no pride in the characters and stories I've come up with? I don't know.

Seriously, I only occasionally draw my characters and so rarely do I do more than a simple half-assed sketch, whilst I do full out sketches and colored doodles of my friends' stuff. Now this isn't an attack or anything on my friends' characters! I just feel...Like I'm not doing enough for myself. Even Harlequin and Columbina have fallen to the wayside.

Add in that I'm definitely not trying any new things with my art and its upsetting. What is wrong with me? My art looks the same. The only mild difference is the nose. Everything else is the same. Same poses and everything.

What is up with me? This can't be art block. Is there improvement in my art and I'm not seeing it.

Oh I disgust myself. But not in a bad way. Eugh, this will be hard to explain. Its like...a disgust that's pushing me to try new things. I have been experimenting with style but I'm not comfortable with it. I had just been hoping that in more normal doodles one would be able to see a difference and I'm not.

WELL enough of that bullshit, on to today's drawings!

First Art Flood

Well, what better way to commemorate the launching of my new blog than to utterly flood the first post with a huge backlog of never before uploaded publicly drawings? I think its a great way to start. Yes. The images are all rather small so they shouldn't lag your computers.

After this post I'll be another separate of just Dragon Age fanarts. Yes.

Also sorry for the massive amount of test posts I made. It was a headache getting the damn blogger entry cuts to work. I wonder if there was another way...

Any who, I guess I should get started.
